[Christmas Special] Santa Kimika and Sephiroth have some presents for you.

Kimika:
First of all our Team wants to wish all Netdeckers (and Bloggers and Yugioh Fans and Trollers and Tournament Players and Yugioh Judges and so on...) a Wonderful Christmas, Chanukka and/or Happy Holidays. We thank you all for all your support you've provided to our Blog till now, believe it or not, we appreciate it.

MasterSephiroth:
I know, you wouldn't believe it, but we really, really appreciate it. In America.

Kimika:
Not only to our surprise, but also to the surprise of other fellow Yugioh-Bloggers we've managed to get roughly 14k Page Visits in merely 4 months, that for, let me for one more time show you all our gratitude.

Now I know that we always claimed that our Blog was founded in order to get us all a TCG-Oriented Blog where TCG-Players are not forced to Netdeck OCG Decks and strain their Brain Capacity in order to figure out how to change it into a TCG Format, but also to provide overall new ideas in the TCG-Format for people to Netdeck! (='D trollz)
But, it can't be denied that Sephiroth and me are also passionate in building Decks focused on the Duel Terminal Archetypes. Ever since Duel Terminal 1 we've been buying most of the Duel Terminal Cards when they were fresh released in OCG as people might remember what we did with Gusto, Gishiki and Steelswarm. But that already was the case for the times of Dragunities...

MasterSephiroth:
I really love my OCG cards. Especially my three Secret DT Trishula and Lavalval Dragon. They look awesome.

Again, thank you all for supporting us with our blog. Merry Christmas (or whatever you like) to all.

Just something btw: It was awesome judging @ YCS Brighton. I met people I know from Pojo (PJ is awesome, really), got a Autograph from Billy Brake on my Bunilla and met people from different countries like Belgium, France and Germany. The whole Konami Staff and the other Judges and especially Head Judge Paul Race were just really, well, cool. Awesome event was awesome. From my (spanish) Photon Shockwave boxes (5) I got a Zenmaines, 2 D-Boyz (D-Chicoz =3), 2 Shard of Greed and 1 Metaion, el Señor del Tiempo (=3). I also got an awesome Red Judge shirt and a Tiras & Adreus Judge playmat.

Kimika:
In order to continue that Tradition, we've decided to make the Christmas' Entry a Verz and Sacred special.

First, let's talk about the Verz-Deck:

Note: This is our first Verz Version and I named it VERZ SWM (swarm variation)

Monster (20):
3x Verz Mandrago (totally in love with this card, it's sooooo cute X3)
2x Summoner Monk
2x Rescue Rabbit
3x Verz Heliotrope
3x Sabersaurus

Spell (10):
2x Pot of Duality
1x Mind Control
1x Monster Reborn
1x Heavy Storm
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
2x Forbidden Holy Lance
1x Book of Moon

Trap (10):
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Mirror Force
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Trap Dustshoot
2x Solemn Warning
1x Solemn Judgment

Extra Deck (15):
1x Verz Ouroboros (Yaaay alter Trishula >=D)
1x Evolzar Laggia
1x Lavalval Chain
1x Gem-Knight Pearl (Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiyzaaaa!!!!)
2x No. 39 Aspire Hope
1x No. C39 Aspire Hope Ray
1x Vylon Disigma
1x Steelswarm Roach
1x Kachi Kochi Dragon
1x  No.16 Shock Ruler Conqueror of Colors

MasterSephiroth:
Some background story for Verz and Inverz (Steelswarm). Inverz were released in DT10 but are a sub-archetype to Verz who were just released in DT13 in Japan. Konami decided to name Inverz 'Steelswarm' so we have no fucking clue, how they will name Verz. Maybe they're going to call them 'Swarm' or maybe they're going to do something like 'Verz and Steelswarm-Monster', or I don't know. Verz were cool. But nothing is superior to Inverz, because, well, Inverz are Verz that are 'In'. Ya know, cool and stuff. Ok now I'm just trolling.

Kimika:
So I will keep this one short since there really isn't much to explain about. First of all, if I had to describe this Deck in a few words it would be something like: "Imagine a Wind-Up Non OTK Deck combined with Rescue Rabbit and focusing on Rank 4 only".

So basically this Deck works this way:
- Spam Rank 4 Monsters out every single turn if possible.
- Steal your opponent's Beatsticks after receiving Damage and pay him back double.
- Cripple his final Defense with Laggia.

The strongest trait of this Deck it's its spam rate. It can easily summon 2-4 Level 4 Monsters in one single turn.
The mostly easiest way to achieve that is using Summoner Monk, Verz Castor and Verz Mandrago.
Since Verz Mandrago can be special summoned even if you already have monsters on the field (as long as your opponent has more than you have), it has a very high chance in coming even if your (first) normal summon has been detained.
That for, if you already successfully normal summoned a Summoner Monk, a Rank 4 Summon will be pretty much guaranteed.

One noticeable weakness however can be told beforehand. Even if Verzes can be searched out with their Continues Trap Card Corrosive Contagion Infestation, you are bounded on not increasing Hand Size. That for, the main weakness of Verz is that it is easily in running out on Verz Cards in your Hand while you have to think about the fact that you need Verz cards in your hand to perform certain combos on winning the game such as Verz Bahamut. Also note that you might have to XYZ Summon every single turn you might run out of Hand Cards really fast.

In conclusion; while Verz obviously managed to become really strong with Swarming the Field the main problem lies, unlike Gadgets and Wind-Up, due to the fact in lacking on needed Floaters (that for running Rescue Rabbit and Summoner Monk).

Still, they've proved to be very promising and are definitely worth of giving it a shot when it becomes available in the TCG format.

MasterSephiroth:
So now that this is over, let's start with my review of the Sacred deck.

Sacred is a archetype, that can be used to build decks in many different ways:

- Either you rely on all those LV3 and/or 4 monsters to summon Rank 3/4 monsters (and sometimes 5 with the help of The Sacred Kaust)
- Then you could use all those LV3 and 4 monsters together with LV5 (The Sacred Esca) and LV6 (The Sacred Antares) to support the lower ones and summon Rank 3/4/5.

- Or you could rely on the tribute summon ones to summon mostly Rank 5. And this is where my deck is at.

Note: DN uses 'The Sacred' as the whole archetype name to differ between those Sacred monsters like Sacred Crane that are no 'The Sacred' monsters and this archetype. This is, because the Katakana of 'The Sacred' (>セイクリッド) is different to that of 'Sacred' (せいちょう). I will write down the DN names thought and will link to Wikia.

Monster (20):
3x The Sacred Spica
3x The Sacred Esca
3x The Sacred Sheratan
3x The Sacred Leonis
2x The Sacred Antares
2x The Sacred Pollux
2x Summoner Monk
1x Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning
1x Honest

Spell (13):
3x Pot of Duality
3x Photon Sanctuary
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Pot of Avarice
1x Book of Moon
1x Monster Reborn
1x Heavy Storm
1x Dark Hole

Trap (7):
2x Dimensional Prison
2x Solemn Warning
1x Solemn Judgment
1x Torrential Tribute
1x Ultimate Offering

Extradeck (15):
1x Stardust Dragon
1x Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier (Q: You just love your DT Brio and Trish, do you?)
1x Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier (A: Yes, indeed I do. Haters gonna hate. =3)
2x The Sacred Pleiades
1x The Sacred Ptolemys M7
1x Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon
1x Tiras, Keeper of Genesis
1x The Sacred Omega
1x Number 39: Utopia
1x Steelswarm Roach
1x Lavalval Chain (I want this bitch)
1x Number 17: Leviathan Dragon
1x Leviair the Sea Dragon
1x Wind-Up Zenmaines

CAUTION: Before reading the further passages, please be aware, that I'm not going to explain all the effects of the new cards in the text right down here. For this you have the links. Or even DN for the smart/lazy ones.

Basicly we are focusing on random Xyz-summons in Marauding Captain style (summon Captain, summon anything else, Xyz), so there could be a problem of having no hand. But Sacreds have the cool abilities to replenish their hands (Stratos like) so you don't do that much of a minus.

So we can say, we have monsters that work like Marauding Captain and monsters that work like Stratos.

And this is what you do in this deck. Summon, Summon, Search, Xyz-Summon, get Pluses from that Xyz-Summon and be happy. Just, well, kill your opponent, somehow.

Why am I using Photon Sanctuary?
Well it helps me summon my tribute monsters. And it provides some defense, when you think about it. =3

Just some random combos:

Summon Summoner Monk, use effect, Summon The Sacred Pollux, Xyz-Summon Lavalval Chain, use effect and stack Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning to the top of your deck.

Summon Leonis, use effect, Summon Sheratan, use effect, Search any Sacred, Xyz-Summon anything like Zenmaines or Leviathan.

Most random:

Summon BLS - EotB, attack anything with more then 2000 ATK, ditch Honest, attack directly, win.
