[Deck Profile] T.G. Scrap

Okay we've finally reached the grand finale of our weekly T.G. Special.
This time it's all about perfect harmony between Archtypes. Before I've presented T.G. Variations which focused on Stalling, such as T.G. Agent STL; Beat Down, such as T.G. Drain; and finally, Enforced Anti, for example T.G. Beat.

This time it will be a whole different story, as we had the T.G.-Archtype as a Beat-stick, Anti, Stalling, Swarming Elements before, this time we go for Beat-stick, Stall, Swarm and Ammunition at the same time!

So, finally, a TCG-Only variant of the T.G. Decks let me present you: THE T.G. Scrap Deck (SPD-version)!

Before we're going to check for the statistics let's first check out the harmony between these two archtypes. First off, what do they have in common?
Answers:
- They both contain a high capacity of fast Synchro Summoning.
- They both contain monsters from the Beast-Warrior/Beast family
- They both contain EARTH monsters

Let's check out what that means in general:
-There are even more additional possibilities of performing a quick Synchro Summon.
-There are even more additional possibilities of performing a quick Xyz Summon.
-There are even more additional possibilities of swarming the field with Beat -sticks.
-There are enough monsters in the Deck which support Horn of the Phantom Beast.
-Running 3 copies of each Pot of Duality and Horn of the Phantom Beast rises the Deck Speed.
-Running Horn of the Phantom Beast means playing Reborn Tengu also makes sense.
-Scrap Dragon triggers T.G. Searchers.
-The fact of having a lot of EARTH monsters gives an option of running Naturia Synchros.

So, there's not much I have to say more than this to already point out the high potential this combination offers.
After pointing out all the Overall Theory, let's head over to the statistics.

Depending on your own locals this deck can be seen as either more Beat-Down or more of a Stall Deck. Since I am currently living in Switzerland, I see this deck more of a Deck which needs time to build up its offence since 1700 Atk alone doesn't seem much of a Beat-Stick atm considering all the Agents, other Tengus, Rescue Rabbits and Gladiator Beasts running around.

None the less this Deck proved being effective against a lot of Decks thanks to its destructive powers, mostly thanks to Horn of the Phantom Beast and Scrap Dragon.

There really isn't much I can complain about this Deck, so I really don't know what else I can say about this Deck. Overall it is really stable and there are a lot of variations left still to test out. But as for me, this one's the one which works best for myself.

So, if I ever would recommend anyone to play a Scrap Deck at the moment, it most likely would be this one, ignoring the fact, that we still have an outdated Mono-Scrap-Deck somewhere around which Sephiroth and me have been working on last year.

That's all from my side for this weekend's weekly update. See you all next week.

  4. really nice but what's with starlight and book of moon and tg1em1 ?

  5. Starlight Road was always nothing more but an option, and since this deck is not solely an Anti Deck and is also able to strike back, it is not seriously needed. Book of Moon is also a question of preferences and if I have to decide between a card which provides tactical protection or essential cards, I will go for the essential ones... TG1-EM1 is played a lot indeed, but not every T.G. Deck runs them, make some research and you will see what I am talking about... seriously, not needed here, at least I don't see it necessary in here.

  6. about the TG1-EM1 thing....
t.g. agent dont use them, know why? they'd like to use their TGs. Same thing with the scrap deck. U just use every single TG u get. Striker for sync, warwolf for more sync and rhino as a beatstick or just for random utopia and those stuff. So i agree with kimika, no reason for TG1-EM1

  7. a another question: can I put in my standart Scrap Deck (NOT Scrap TG, I play it instead with Granel Infinity etc.) a Pot of Avarice? Or is that a death card in this standart scrap deck?
